Below is some useful info and links for the winter season in Les Arcs

Les Arcs/Vallandry

The winter season usually runs from the third week of December to the last week of April. Lots of information can be found at https://www.lesarcs-peiseyvallandry.com/en

The two nearest ski resort centres to the Barn are Arcs 1600 and Arcs 1800.  Both are within a 15 minute drive up the mountain and offer english speaking Ecole Ski Francais (ESF) classes for children under 5 and upwards, through to group lessons for adults. Individual lessons can also be booked, as well as snowboarding instruction.  Both resorts have numerous shops offering ski rental for all standards of skier. Arcs 1800 is the larger of the two resorts, which offers both underground and overground parking, and has greater ski lift access to the mountain.

Ski passes are available that cover the Les Arcs/Vallandry area, with additional options to include nearby La Plagne resort connected by the unique Vanoise Express cable car from Plan Peisey. Ski passes can be purchased on an individual or family basis, with discounts for children and senior citizens. If you plan in advance, it's also worth checking out 'SKI À LA CARTE' at https://www.skialacarte.fr/gb/ for some great ski pass deals, only paying for the days you ski, thus giving you flexibility to have a 'down day' if required.

As an alternative to driving up to Arcs 1600 or Arcs 1800, there is also the option to take the Funicular at the Les Granges stop approximately 5 minutes drive from the Barn. This service runs frequently between Bourg Saint Maurice and Arcs 1600 every 15-20minutes during the morning and late afternoon/early evening. The timetable is found through the link at the top of this page, under 'Ski and Pedestrian pass', then 'The Funicular'.
